What More Do You Want?

"According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, ..."

(2 Peter 1:3a)

God has given us everything we need, so why do so many people walk around on two good legs, breath in lungs full of air, see everything in their paths, hear all the talk in their ears, smell both pleasant and unpleasant odors, and eat to excess, yet complain as if they have been given nothing.

If we continue to read Peter, we find that:

We have been called to glory and virtue.

We have been given exceeding great and precious promises.

We have been made partakers of the divine nature.

We have escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Additionally, we are assured of God's precious promises.

What more do you want?

What more do you need?

To have a Savior who loves us as ours does and who gives the best gifts and who withholds no good thing from us, is like having our favorite ice cream then adding sprinkles on top.

It is not only being blessed, but we are better than blessed.

And we are grateful unto Him, because we have everything we need.

So, what will it take to satisfy us?

Oh, to be filled and satiated like David, who sang, "... he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness." or to proclaim like the psalmist who sang, "He's all I ever hoped for and so much more ..."

God gave us His All when He sent Jesus.

What more do you want?

I'm satisfied with Jesus; however, the question begs, Is my Savior satisfied with me?
