START WHERE YOU ARE

One of my favorite involvements over the past 18+ years has been with the Southern Sisters Mystery Writers Group.
For the past 15 years, I have had the pleasure of being involved on some level with meeting, hosting, entertaining, chauffeuring some of the most prolific authors for an annual event.
This year, there was one who made an indelible impression upon me. (There is always at least one defining moment for me.)
This lady's story - she began writing at the age of 72!!!
Now, four books later, she is travelling and speaking to audiences about them.
So, the questions beg -
How old are you?
What are you thinking it's too late for you to do?
What is at the end of that 'woulda', 'shoulda', 'coulda' lament?
Whatever it is, you can pick it up and start where you are.
No more excuses. No more procrastination.
Get the end goal in view and run toward the mark.
In this game, if you drop the ball, you can simply pick it back up and continue to run the distance. You don't need to go back - you can start where you are.
Sounds simple?
But the reality is, life does creep in, family and friends will distract you, jobs interfere, even "self" deters you.
Though you stall out, get detained, deflected or derailed, though you may have to bust through some barriers that attempt to block your way, PERSEVERE.... let nothing stop you or stand in your way.
Get past the interruptions.
If God is for you, nothing and no one can prevent you. That is, no one, but you.
So, tell that "you", you have wasted enough of my time by causing doubt and dread to override desire and determination.
Now, I will do this, I will succeed. It's not too late.
I encourage you to -
Start right now, where you are and don't stop until you are done.
