SMILE

As I sat in church one Saturday morning during 6 a.m. prayer, I heard a song playing that says, "I Want to Make You Smile".
I began to think about all the things people do to make me smile - kind words, hugs, small but thoughtful acts of kindness.
I thought of the things I do (perchance) to cause others to smile - serving, praying and giving.
Visions of others smiling, caused me to smile.
I had to ask myself - what can I do on this day to make God smile?
After all, every morning when He allows me to open my eyes and I see that I am still here, that makes me smile.
When I am able to get out of bed, dress myself, and feed myself, get in one of my vehicles and go where I need to go - that makes me smile. The fact that I have somewhere to go - most days, I head out to a job - that makes me smile.
So, what can I do today to make God smile?
In Hebrews 13:16, it says, "But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased."
Other passages tell us, when we show love one to another, encourage each another, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick, aid the poor ... when we tell some unsaved soul about the love of Jesus - we make God smile.
My challenge to you today -
1) Communicate with Him
2) Do good
Do something intentional to make God smile.
I can assure you, it will make you smile in return.
