DON'T CHANGE THE CHANNEL

I can remember as a young child watching shows like Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie - all the while wishing that I could have whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted it, by simply twitching my nose or folding my arms and blinking.

I watched Super Heroes and marveled at their abilities, thinking how wonderful it would be if I could leap buildings, see through walls or simply fly.

Well... it didn't take much to figure out, even as a youngster, that things in life did not work like that.

Nothing is automatic.

What a disappointment that was - for a while. Yet, I remained faithful in my viewing.

When I grew up and took charge of the remote, I would often change channels when a program disappointed me or if it was something other than what I expected.

I am so glad that I have discovered another source of supernatural power - a sure thing - a never failing Hero. He is One whose name will never be in the list of those "lost" at the end of the year.

His name - Jesus!

His is the name above all names - above Samantha, Jeannie, and Houdini (although some try to use Him as a magician or a lucky charm).

His name is greater than Superman, Batman, and Spiderman (although He is no less thrilling).

His name is more worthy than Obama, Trump, Clinton and Bush (His power, wisdom and integrity far exceeds them all).

We can call on Him for all our needs; those who delight in Him can expect their desires.

We can expect that He knows what's best for us and that He will provide.

We cannot expect to dictate the timing, the packaging and the portions.

Don't change channels when things do not come as quickly as you want them.

Don't change channels when things do not happen as you expect.

Stay tuned in when you know what promises are in stored for you. Be patient and hold fast. In due time, you will receive your blessings.

Don't give up. Don't become weary. Don't faint. The Best is Yet to Come, so ...

Don't change the Channel.
